US Preventive Services Task Force (US PSTF) Recommends Against PSA Screening:
Frames the Need to Recognize Prostate Cancer as a Public Health Priority &
Issue a National Call to Action to Improve Diagnostic Tools for Early Detection
PROSTATE CANCER EPIDEMIC:
UNRECOGNIZED NATIONAL PRIORITY
Prostate cancer is the most common (major) cancer in the United States and the second most lethal cancer in men. African American men are 60% more likely to be stricken and 2.5 times more likely to die.
Prostate cancer increased seven fold in men younger than 50 and tripled in men aged 50 to 59 since 1986.
While prostate cancer is more common than breast cancer, national investment in prostate cancer research lags behind that of breast cancer and men do not have accurate diagnostic tools akin to life-saving mammograms.

AdMeTech Foundation was selected by a prestigious initiative of leaders of television and entertainment called Stand Up to Cancer.
Stand Up to Cancer is launching a new movement to attack cancer once and for all by pushing promising scientific breakthroughs to the finish.
Inspired to act by our own personal experiences with cancer, we recognize that we can no longer rely on the current system alone to give us the breakthroughs we need. So, we are calling on the public to help take matters into our own hands, investing in a revolution that will change the way scientists and clinicians work to understand and treat these diseases. Stand Up To Cancer is more than a rallying cry. It is a galvanizing force created to urgently move cancer research forward. This is where the end of cancer begins: when we unite together in one unstoppable movement and Stand Up To Cancer.
